As an adolescent, Rich discovered boxing amongst his childhood friends. The sport started off as something they did in an apartment garage which turned into a passion of his. He wanted to get better because as a short scrawny kid,  he kept getting his butt kicked. He shadow boxed in front of a mirror until one day his older brother noticed his dedication and shared some tips and pointers. It wasn’t long until Rich’s father noticed and enrolled Rich into a boxing gym. He surprisingly got better as he finally joined the boxing gym. During this time the 2004 Olympics in Greece was taking place. He happened to have stumbled upon an olympic channel which hosted the boxing games then the rest was history. As life moved on Rich realized that fighting as a career wasn’t the path he wanted to partake in. He then fell into personal training at Equinox Luxury Fitness Club. At first, fitness was his focus but shortly after members kept requesting for boxing; he discovered his calling. After countless workshops, 7 certifications, 500+ Hours of extended education he began to have a more scientific approach to teaching the art. After 4 years, he departed with Equinox and focused on teaching boxing full-time.
